Epson launches EcoTank ET-2980 printer for home use

Epson has launched a new printer called the EcoTank ET-2980. This inkjet tank printer is designed for home use but is fast enough for small offices. It features advanced PrecisionCore technology typically found in business printers. The EcoTank ET-2980 is 50% faster than its predecessor, the EcoTank 2800 series. It can print monochrome documents at a speed of 15 pages per minute and color documents at 8 pages per minute. This makes it almost as quick as the more expensive EcoTank ET-3850. One of its key advantages is cost efficiency. The printer comes with enough ink to last up to three years, and users can buy large, inexpensive refill bottles. However, it has a recommended monthly duty cycle of 800 pages, which may limit its use in high-demand office settings. The EcoTank ET-2980 is available in black or white to fit different home styles. Priced at $300, it offers a good balance of speed and affordability. It is now available for purchase from Epson and online retailers.
