England's World Cup qualifier moved to Villa Park
England will host their next home World Cup qualifier at Villa Park in September. The match will take place on the 6th and will be against Andorra. This change from Wembley stadium is due to Coldplay's scheduled concerts, which will run from August 22 to September 8. Villa Park has been prepared as the alternative venue for this Group K qualifier. The last time the England men’s team played at Villa Park was in a friendly against the Netherlands back in 2005. Under new coach Thomas Tuchel, England has started their qualifying campaign well. The team won their first two matches against Albania and Latvia. Tuchel has six points from these games. In the match against Albania, England won 2-0, thanks to goals from Harry Kane and Myles Lewis-Skelly. They followed that with a 3-0 win over Latvia, where Kane scored again alongside Reece James and Eberechi Eze. England will play Senegal in a friendly on June 10 at Nottingham Forest's City Ground. Tuchel is pleased with his team’s progress, saying, "It is good because I learn about my team and my team learns about me." The team will next face Andorra away on June 7 before the friendly match against Senegal.
