Eighth man charged in Dublin fatal assault case
A man in his 20s has been charged in connection with the fatal stabbing of Quham Babatunde in Dublin. This marks the eighth arrest related to the incident. The stabbing occurred on February 15, around 3 a.m., on Anne Street South. Babatunde, a 34-year-old from Nigeria, had been living in an accommodation center in South Dublin while awaiting his international protection application. Following the attack, he was found unresponsive after being stabbed four times during a fight. Emergency services rushed him to the hospital, but he later died from his injuries. The man charged on Monday is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday morning. Seven other men have already faced charges linked to the assault or related incidents that night.
