Egypt seeks UNESCO registration for Koshary

Egypt is working to register Koshary as a traditional Egyptian dish with UNESCO. Cultural heritage expert Nahla Imam stated Egypt has made significant progress, with 10 elements already listed. Koshary is seen as a symbol of Egyptian popular identity and culinary heritage. The government prioritizes folk arts and heritage studies. Imam urged creatives to help revive Egyptian heritage, emphasizing it's a national responsibility.
