Egle and Kipp claim fourth straight World Cup luge doubles title in Germany
Selina Egle and Lara Kipp of Austria won their fourth straight World Cup luge women's doubles race in Altenberg, Germany. They had the fastest times in both runs, finishing ahead of Germany's Jessica Degenhardt and Cheyenne Rosenthal. The U.S. team of Chevonne Forgan and Sophie Kirkby secured their fourth medal of the season, placing third. In men's doubles, Latvia's Martins Bots and Roberts Plume won, with Germany's Tobias Wendl and Tobias Arlt in second. In men's singles, Germany's Max Langenhan took gold, followed by Felix Loch. The top American, Jonny Gustafson, finished 13th. In bobsled, Germany swept the podium in the two-man race at St. Moritz, with the U.S. team finishing eighth.
