Eden Project in Cornwall offers tips for parents
Samantha Bartlett wrote about her unexpected trip to the Eden Project in Cornwall with her 2-year-old child. Originally, they planned to go to Paris, but a travel issue forced them to change their plans. Instead, they chose a staycation in Cornwall. The family stayed at Green Acres Cottage, only a short drive from the Eden Project. Bartlett emphasizes the importance of planning when visiting with a toddler. She shares tips based on her own experience. Tickets for adults cost £38 online, but children under five can enter for free. Buying tickets online is cheaper than purchasing them at the door. Students and local residents also receive discounts. Visitors should be prepared for a long walk from the parking area to the entrance. A buggy can be helpful for little ones who might get tired. Inside, the rainforest biome can get very hot, so it's best to dress children in layers and bring drinks and snacks. The Eden Project features a natural adventure play area for children, with a climbing tree and water play. Bartlett advises visiting this area before leaving, as they missed it on their way out and her child was disappointed. Lastly, she suggests not to expect to see everything in one visit. The walking can be tiring for toddlers, and they ended up skipping the Mediterranean Biome. However, tickets are valid for an entire year, so they plan to return in the future.
