Eastern Ontario faces severe thunderstorms today

A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for eastern Ontario, with potential for strong winds and heavy rain Monday afternoon. Environment Canada warns of severe thunderstorms capable of producing wind gusts up to 90 km/h. Ottawa received over 25 mm of rain Monday morning, while Gatineau saw 33 mm.
