East London commuter evaded Elizabeth line fares

A London commuter was caught fare dodging on the Elizabeth line, accumulating £1,650 in unpaid fares over eight months. The passenger was confronted by investigators after nearly 250 journeys. The individual, traveling from Harold Wood or Romford to Stratford, often paid for a shorter journey than required. This involved using an Oyster card and not touching in at the start of the journey.
