Dyson launches consumer version of Supersonic r hair dryer

Dyson has launched the consumer version of its Supersonic r Professional hair dryer, now available in the US for $569.99 and set to release in the UK on April 2 for £449.99. This model is smaller and lighter than the original. The Supersonic r features a redesigned air heater and a Dyson Hyperdymium motor, making it more powerful. It includes new magnetic attachments and remembers the last-used settings for each attachment. The professional version will still be available with a longer cable for salon use. The Supersonic r lacks some features of the higher-end Nural model, such as the Scalp Protect setting.
