Duterte threatens legal action after arrest in Netherlands
Former President Rodrigo Duterte threatened to file a case against Maj. Gen. Nicolas Torre III after his arrest under an International Criminal Court warrant for alleged crimes against humanity. Torre read Duterte's rights during the arrest at the airport. Following the arrest, Torre reported experiencing harassment from Duterte's family at Villamor Air Base. He claimed that Duterte's partner, Honeylet Avanceña, physically pushed him, and Duterte's daughter, Kitty, verbally insulted him. Duterte arrived in The Hague, Netherlands, on Thursday.
