Duterte supporters rally in Iligan City against arrest
Hundreds of supporters of former President Rodrigo Duterte held a prayer rally in Iligan City on Tuesday. They protested his recent arrest, lighting candles and displaying signs that expressed their support. Protesters burned an image of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to show their anger. Former Iligan City Mayor Franklin Quijano and lawyer Manuel Salibay called for unity to demand Duterte's release. Duterte faces charges of crimes against humanity related to his administration's war on drugs. He is set to be transferred to The Hague in the Netherlands for legal proceedings.
