Duterte reports wellbeing after medical check-up

Former President Rodrigo Duterte requested to speak with a consular officer from the Philippine Embassy in The Netherlands on March 13. He reported that he underwent a medical check-up and is generally fine. The Philippine Embassy is working to arrange a consular visit for Duterte, who also requested to see his legal counsel and a family member. Earlier, a legal counsel visited the facility but was informed that Duterte was not present. An ICC spokesperson confirmed that Duterte is in custody at the ICC detention center in Scheveningen.
