Duterte arrested in Manila under ICC warrant
Former Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte was arrested on Tuesday in Manila under an International Criminal Court warrant. The warrant accuses him of crimes against humanity related to his "war on drugs" during his presidency. Duterte arrived from Hong Kong and was met by police at the airport. The arrest follows accusations of extrajudicial killings linked to his anti-drug campaign, which reportedly resulted in over 12,000 deaths. Philippine officials received the ICC warrant via Interpol earlier that day. Duterte and his aides were reported to be in good health after a medical examination.
