Dunnes recalls burgers due to missing ingredient labels
Dunnes Stores has announced a recall of certain batches of its Hogan’s Farm Turkey Burgers. This urgent action is due to serious health risks from missing or incorrect ingredient labels. The recall affects turkey burgers sold in regular, spicy buffalo glaze, and Asian BBQ glaze varieties. The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) reported that these burgers do not properly list sulphur dioxide, a common preservative that can trigger severe allergic reactions in sensitive individuals. The FSAI warned consumers who are allergic to sulphur dioxide not to eat these products. Some batches had no ingredient list at all, while others had incorrect information. Those with allergies may face serious health risks if they consume the affected burgers. Customers who bought these products are advised to return them to the store for a full refund. Dunnes Stores confirmed that no receipt is needed for the return. The supermarket issued an apology for any inconvenience caused by this recall. Sulphur dioxide can lead to respiratory issues and, in rare cases, anaphylaxis. Customers with questions can reach out to Dunnes Stores customer service for assistance.
