Driver pleads guilty to careless driving after crashing supercar in Norwich

Joey Baptiste, 41, pleaded guilty to careless driving after crashing a £100,000 Ferrari F430 in Norwich on March 17, 2024. The incident, captured on video, showed him losing control, hitting a bike rack, and narrowly missing a jogger. The Ferrari belonged to former Dragons' Den star Ross Mendham, who was a passenger during the crash. Witnesses reported Baptiste revving the engine, suggesting he was showing off before the accident. Baptiste's defense claimed he was driving because Mendham felt ill and that he accidentally pressed the accelerator instead of the brake. He faces additional points on his license and will be sentenced on February 19.
