Donald J. Dumas, longtime Newington resident, passes away at 85

Donald J. Dumas, 85, of Newington, passed away on November 12, 2024. He was married to Ann Marie Dumas for 61 years. Donald was a truck driver and a member of the Teamsters Local 671, serving as Union Steward. He was a fourth degree Knight of Columbus and a member of St. Mary’s Church. Donald enjoyed collecting model trucks and trains, loved dogs, and was a fan of local sports teams. He is survived by his wife, three daughters, eight grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter. Visitation will be held on November 18 at Duksa Family Funeral Home, followed by a Mass at St. Mary’s Church. He will be buried at West Meadow Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
