$100,000 Powerball ticket unclaimed in Fruitland, Maryland
A $100,000 Powerball prize remains unclaimed in Maryland. Lottery officials are urging players to check their tickets, especially those purchased at a Walmart in Fruitland, about 120 miles from Baltimore. The winning ticket was sold on March 19. The ticket matched four red balls and the Powerball. Normally, this would have won $50,000, but an extra dollar was spent on Power Play, doubling the prize to $100,000. Winners must claim their prizes in person at the lottery office in Baltimore since this amount exceeds $25,000. Players can claim smaller prizes at retailers or select casinos in Maryland. Winners have 182 days to come forward and claim their money. On March 19, two others from Colorado and Texas also won $2 million each. The Powerball jackpot stood at $418 million, with an estimated cash value of $195 million. No one won the jackpot on March 22 or March 24. Several states, including Arizona and Texas, have similar 180-day prize claim deadlines. In upcoming draws, Powerball will introduce changes to offer bigger jackpots and automatic multipliers. Meanwhile, the next Powerball draw will take place on Wednesday.
