DOJ clears son in Manila kidnap-slay case
The Department of Justice has cleared Alvin Que, son of slain businessman Anson Que, of any involvement in his father's kidnapping and murder. The DOJ cited a lack of evidence to support his involvement in the crime. The DOJ's investigation found sufficient evidence to charge Gong Wen Li, also known as "Kelly," with kidnapping for ransom with homicide. She is alleged to be one of the masterminds behind the crime, which resulted in the deaths of Anson Que and his driver. Anson Que and his driver were abducted in March, and despite a ransom payment, both were later found dead. The investigation continues, with a P10-million reward offered for information leading to Gong's arrest.
