DOGE removes over 100 canceled federal leases
Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency has removed more than 100 canceled federal leases from its website. This change indicates that the group is facing challenges in its efforts to cut government office space. Previously, Musk's team claimed to have terminated over 700 leases, leading to savings of more than $460 million. However, early Wednesday morning, references to 136 of those cancellations disappeared from the site. This adjustment resulted in a reduction of $140 million in claimed savings, nearly 30 percent of the total amount reported just a day earlier. The reasons behind these changes were not provided by Musk's team. Additionally, the White House has not commented on the matter.
