Dhar confirmed this news during a discussion with Bollywood Hungama. He mentioned that while the film's concept remained the same, it was updated to resonate with today’s audience. He stated, “We made it contemporary and a story of today’s times.” Dhoom Dhaam has received positive feedback from viewers, who praised its engaging story and the performances of Yami Gautam and Pratik Gandhi. Fans enjoyed the movie’s screenplay and acting. An interesting detail shared by Dhar was about a scene featuring Sima Taparia from Indian Matchmaking. She was supposed to play a matchmaker for the film’s main characters. However, that scene was ultimately cut from the final version.
