Denver chefs create new menu after restaurant closes

Split Lip, the restaurant at Number Thirty Eight, has closed, but the same chefs are introducing a new menu featuring regional dishes. The original smashburgers are no longer available, but the new menu includes items like a chicken parm sandwich and bison rib mac 'n' cheese, designed by the original chefs. The chefs are staying on board and the founder is now the culinary director for the parent company. Number Thirty Eight is owned by Numbers Holding Co., which plans to expand with a second location and a new hat store/cocktail bar. The new menu debuted this week.
