Delhi adds 1,388 nursing officers, expands health access
1,388 new nursing officers were appointed in Delhi on Sunday, with appointment letters distributed by Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda and Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta. The appointments aim to address a 15-year backlog in Delhi's healthcare workforce, and Ayushman Bharat Registration Vans were also launched to facilitate doorstep registration for health schemes. The government has allocated Rs 1,700 crore for the Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission. Additionally, six new BJP district offices were digitally inaugurated. The event also highlighted a shift towards preventative healthcare through Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, offering free screenings.
