Deer Shed Festival offers paid slot for Northern artists

The Deer Shed Festival is inviting emerging artists to apply for a paid spot in its 2025 line-up. The festival, held in North Yorkshire from July 25 to 28, aims to support talent from the North of England. In partnership with EMI North, the festival is launching the 'Apply To Play' artist development program. This program is seeking applications from artists who are based in the North and those from under-represented backgrounds. The winners will not only perform at the festival but also receive mentorship from the EMI North team. Megan Evans, the festival director, expressed excitement about helping new artists grow. She emphasized the festival's commitment to nurturing fresh voices in the music scene. The deadline for applications is April 14. The Deer Shed Festival will celebrate its 15th edition in 2025, featuring headliners like Wunderhorse and The Big Moon, along with other acts such as Moonchild Sanelly and Kae Tempest.
