De Froberville now co-leads Sony Pictures Animation

Damien de Froberville has been promoted to co-president of Sony Pictures Animation, joining Kristine Belson in leading the division. This promotion reflects his significant contributions and expanded responsibilities. De Froberville, previously executive VP of production, will oversee upcoming projects like "Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse" and "GOAT." He has experience at Paramount, DreamWorks, and Netflix, and joined Sony in 2023. Sony Pictures Animation's slate includes "Kpop: Demon Hunters" and animated series for Netflix, including "Ghostbusters" and "Hotel Transylvania" spin-offs. The studio is also developing a "Ghostbusters" animated movie.
