David W. Duclon, creator of the sitcom "Punky Brewster," has died at 74 in Franklin, Tennessee, after a long illness. His daughter confirmed his passing on Wednesday. Duclon was known for producing several popular sitcoms, including "Family Matters," "Silver Spoons," and "The Jeffersons." He began his Hollywood career in 1972 and created "Punky Brewster" in 1984. He also co-created "Mr. Belvedere" and worked on various other shows throughout his career. Duclon earned two Emmy nominations for his work on "Punky Brewster."
