Daredevil: Born Again has made some waves by mentioning Latvia, leading to excitement among fans of Doctor Doom. In the show, character Matt Murdoch meets a Latvian lawyer, and mayor Wilson Fisk attends a Latvian Heritage Day celebration. However, viewers should note that Latvia is not the same as the fictional land of Latveria, which is Doctor Doom's home. While fans hoped for a hint about Latveria, the mention of Latvia was just about the real country located in Eastern Europe. This is not the first time Latvia has appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), as it was featured in an episode of Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
