Daniel Jones signs $14 million deal with Colts
Quarterback Daniel Jones is set to sign a one-year, $14 million contract with the Indianapolis Colts. He will compete for the starting position against Anthony Richardson, who has struggled with injuries and performance issues. Jones previously played for the New York Giants but was waived last November after being benched. He briefly joined the Minnesota Vikings but did not play in any games. The contract with the Colts could increase to over $17 million if Jones meets performance goals. Coach Shane Steichen has stated there will be an open competition for the quarterback role.
