Dagupan City faces dangerous 46°C heat index Saturday
Dagupan City in the Philippines is facing extreme heat on Saturday, March 29, with a dangerous heat index predicted to reach 46°C. The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) issued this warning, marking six days of hazardous heat levels in the area. The heat index can lead to health risks such as heat cramps and heat exhaustion. Prolonged exposure to such high temperatures may result in heat stroke. Earlier this week, the highest index recorded was 48°C on Friday. Other areas, including Cotabato City and General Santos City, are also expected to see dangerous heat conditions with indexes reaching 42°C. Several other regions will experience high temperatures, categorized as “extreme caution.”
