Cultural fest in Noida celebrates government achievements

A three-day cultural festival called “Vikas Utsav Mela” has opened in Noida. The event celebrates 10 years of the Narendra Modi government and eight years of the Yogi Adityanath government. Uttar Pradesh's Minister of State for Public Works, Brijesh Singh, inaugurated the festival at Shilp Haat on Tuesday. The festival aims to showcase the achievements and welfare programs of both governments. Minister Singh praised Uttar Pradesh for its progress, calling it a model of governance and development. He highlighted key projects such as the Noida Airport in Jewar, which is expected to create jobs and boost the economy. Singh also released booklets titled “UP's Useful 8 Years” and “8 Years of Excellence” to illustrate the state's progress. Various government departments have set up stalls to present their successes and ongoing projects. District magistrate Manish Kumar Verma encouraged local residents to attend and enjoy the festivities. The opening day featured traditional performances by artists, including folk singer Brahmpal Nagar and classical artist Ranjana Neb. Two short films showcasing the state's development were also screened. The festival will run until March 27, with a performance by the band Kabir Cafe scheduled for today.
