This marks a shift from their previous practice of offering optional blood DLC to maintain lower age ratings. The statement suggests a potential focus on more mature themes, possibly indicating the development of Total War: Warhammer 40,000. The company has been increasingly collaborating with Games Workshop, which may support this direction. Additionally, Creative Assembly plans to divide the upcoming Shadows of Change expansion into three parts and will remove the game launcher for a more streamlined experience. A rework of the Kislev faction is also in the works.
