Crawfish the poodle transforms after grooming, finds home
Crawfish the poodle has undergone a remarkable transformation after being rescued. He arrived at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Utah in August, along with 17 other neglected dogs. All of them needed help, as they came from an overcrowded home. Best Friends caregiver, Anabel Kirk, noted that each dog required grooming, medical care, and time to feel safe. Crawfish was in particularly rough shape. His fur was matted and dirty, covering his small frame. The sanctuary staff spent several hours shaving off over ten pounds of this thick coat. After the makeover, Crawfish looked much different and finally revealed his cute face. With his new look, Crawfish's personality also began to show. He became more curious and social. The recovery process was gradual, and he started to enjoy the company of staff and other dogs. Kirk mentioned that while some dogs were eager for attention, Crawfish had been shy and would often hide. Thanks to the support from the team at Best Friends, Crawfish joined playgroups and made friends. Eventually, he completed his recovery and found a forever home in Tucson, Arizona. The story of Crawfish highlights the importance of giving rescue animals a second chance to thrive.
