CoreLogic reports Canberra's rising house prices and reveals cheapest suburbs in the ACT
CoreLogic's 2024 data shows Canberra has the third highest house prices in Australia, with a median of $970,000. Belconnen is the ninth cheapest suburb nationally, with a median house price of $457,727. For units, Lyons is the most affordable at $384,143. Yarralumla has the highest house values in Canberra, averaging over $2 million. The most expensive unit suburb is Forrest, with a median of $871,555. Whitlam saw the largest increase in house values at 12.6%, now at just over $1.1 million. Rental prices are rising, with Belconnen seeing an 8.5% increase to $571 per week. Garran's rental prices rose by 7% to $937. Overall, unit values have decreased by about 3% due to increased supply.
