Dayana Solano Hernández, known as "La Burra," the alleged leader of a drug trafficking organization, was captured in a police operation while asleep with her partner. She is accused of coordinating drug routes and 28 selective homicides. Authorities seized over 1.5 tons of cocaine and other drugs during the raid on May 18th, the largest seizure from the criminal group "Los del Sur." The group allegedly trafficked drugs from Tibú and had ties to the ELN guerrilla. "La Burra" allegedly used Santería for protection and the criminal group, directed from prison, generated over 1 billion pesos in illicit profits.
