The software offers three scan modes: Quick, Balanced, and Deep Scan, allowing users to customize their scanning preferences. Testing revealed mixed results. While CleanMyMac successfully removed 216 malware samples from an external drive, it struggled to detect and eliminate some threats on the local hard drive. Notably, it did not warn users about visiting suspicious websites. The software's interface is user-friendly, but it still allows some malware to remain undetected. CleanMyMac is available for $39.95 per year or a one-time purchase of $119.95, with a week-long free trial option.
