Cirrus Aircraft leads global production of piston-powered and general aviation planes

Cirrus Aircraft, based in Duluth, Minnesota, is the largest producer of piston-powered and general aviation aircraft. Founded in 1984, the company has delivered over 10,000 aircraft, including the popular SR20 and SR22 models. The Cirrus SR20, introduced in 1999, was the first general aviation aircraft to include a parachute landing system. The SR22, launched in 2001, improved on the SR20 with a larger wing and more powerful engine, becoming the best-selling general aviation aircraft since 2003. The Cirrus Vision Jet, certified in 2016, is a light jet that seats up to seven people. It features advanced safety systems, including a whole-airframe parachute. Over 500 Vision Jets have been delivered, showcasing Cirrus's focus on safety and innovation.
