Chromecast (2nd gen) and Audio face casting outage

Owners of Chromecast (2nd gen) and Chromecast Audio are currently unable to cast audio or video content due to an "Untrusted device" error. This issue has affected all users of these models. Google has identified the cause of the problem and is working on a fix. Users are advised not to factory reset their devices, as this may lead to further setup issues. Newer Chromecast models, such as the 3rd gen and Ultra, are not affected. The company has not announced any plans to discontinue support for the older devices.
