Chinese smartphone brands aim to regain market share in Europe after domestic challenges
Chinese smartphone companies are planning a comeback in Europe after facing challenges in their domestic market. Improved economic conditions and increased consumer spending in 2024 have helped these brands regain momentum. Realme is leading the charge, aiming to double its market share in Europe from 4% to over 10% in three to five years. The brand has seen a 275% increase in European sales from 2020 to 2023, despite facing tough competition from Apple and Samsung. Other brands like Honor and Oppo are also targeting the premium segment. Honor recently became the top seller of foldable phones in Western Europe, while Oppo is re-entering the premium market with its new Find X8 series.
