China supports Western peacekeeping plan, betrays Russia
China has surprised many by agreeing to support a Western-backed peacekeeping plan in Ukraine. This decision goes against Russia's wishes and could harm their relationship. China has been an ally to Russia for three years, providing economic and diplomatic support during the Ukraine war. Recently, British Prime Minister proposed forming a coalition of EU and NATO members to send troops to Ukraine. Russia strongly opposed this plan. However, reports indicate that China is open to participating, which many see as a betrayal of Russia. China's involvement in this peacekeeping initiative could be a game-changer. It reflects China's interests and may signal a shift in the balance of power between the two nations. The Chinese government has been discussing support for this plan with European partners. Meanwhile, the Kremlin has stated there are no current plans for high-level talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump. Russian officials said that while talks aren't scheduled, they can be arranged quickly if necessary. Recently, Trump and Putin spoke by phone and emphasized the need for a ceasefire and peaceful negotiations in Ukraine.
