China prints lunar bricks using solar power

Chinese scientists have created a solar-powered machine that 3D prints bricks from lunar soil, potentially enabling affordable lunar construction. The device uses concentrated sunlight to melt regolith at over 1,300°C, producing dense bricks for shelters and infrastructure without Earth-based materials. This self-sufficient technology could significantly reduce the cost and complexity of establishing future lunar bases.
