China Mobile launches RISC-V Super SIM; Xiong'an will be "RISC-V City"

China Mobile has launched a RISC-V based Super SIM card and announced plans to develop Xiong'an New Area into a "RISC-V City." This new SIM card enhances security and expands functionality. The Super SIM card, developed in partnership with various entities, aims to integrate digital identity, digital car keys, and other features. It will also support digital yuan payments, including in offline scenarios, in Xiong'an, a pilot area for digital yuan. The initiative is part of a broader effort to promote RISC-V technology and digital payment infrastructure. China Mobile has also unveiled other RISC-V based products, including cloud computers and AI servers.
