Chile requires reports to restart El Teniente mine

Codelco must submit four reports detailing the El Teniente mine collapse before resuming underground operations after a fatal incident. The reports are required by the government's mining service, SERNAGEOMIN, and must analyze the collapse's cause, outline a recovery plan, and assess fortification systems. The collapse, which occurred last week following an earthquake, resulted in six fatalities. Codelco is the world's largest copper producer.
