Child injured in quad bike hit-and-run in Wickford

A child has been injured after a collision with a quad bike in Wickford. The crash occurred on Aydon Close shortly after 3 PM GMT. The child was riding their scooter on the pavement when the quad bike, ridden by three people, came from a nearby field and hit them. The child sustained a leg injury and was taken to the hospital for treatment. After the incident, the quad bike briefly stopped but then left the scene heading towards the town center. Witnesses described it as red with a black cage on the front. Essex Police are looking for anyone who saw the accident or has video footage.
