Chennai opens new Kalaignar Centenary Park featuring zipline and musical fountain
Chennai has opened a new park called Kalaignar Centenary Park on Cathedral Road. The six-acre park features a zipline, a glasshouse, a musical fountain, and an aviary. It was inaugurated by Chief Minister M K Stalin and created by the horticulture department. The park, built on land recovered after a court battle, includes attractions like a horticulture museum and a native vegetable garden. It will be open daily from 10 am to 8 pm, starting Wednesday. Entry fees are 100 rupees for adults and 50 for children, with additional charges for specific attractions. Tickets can be purchased online or via QR codes.
