CBSE sets 75 percent attendance rule for 2025 board exams

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has mandated that students must have at least 75% attendance to qualify for the Class X and XII board exams. A 25% relaxation is allowed only for specific emergencies, with proper documentation required. CBSE has instructed schools to inform students and parents about this attendance requirement. If students are found absent without valid leave during inspections, they will be barred from taking the board exams. Additionally, CBSE has announced that practical exams for winter-bound schools will take place from November 5 to December 5, 2024. The board exams are set to begin on February 15, 2025, with the date sheet yet to be released.
