Catch Steak in New York City permanently closes as owner expands with new acquisitions

Catch Steak in New York City has permanently closed, as confirmed by the Maritime Hotel. The restaurant, which opened in 2019, struggled to compete in the city's competitive steakhouse market. This closure follows the recent shutdown of Catch Steak's Los Angeles location. Despite this, Catch Hospitality Group continues to expand, with new locations in Miami Beach and Dallas, and plans for Scottsdale, Arizona. Tilman Fertitta, one of the owners, recently purchased the historic Keens Steakhouse for $30 million. This acquisition allows him to maintain a presence in New York's steakhouse scene, contrasting with the short-lived Catch Steak.
