Carroll County officials join Maryland leaders at fall legislative conference

Municipal officials from Carroll County and across Maryland attended the Maryland Municipal League's fall legislative conference in early November. The event featured over 30 workshops and attracted more than 420 local government leaders, focusing on issues like revenue sources and citizen services. Workshops included discussions on rising electricity costs and strategies to support residents. State budget leaders reassured attendees that there would be no cuts to Highway User Revenues and expressed openness to diversifying local revenue sources. The MML announced that the next fall conference will be held at Wisp in Western Maryland from October 12-14, 2025. The organization continues to advocate for municipal governments amid increasing demands for services and infrastructure.
