Rachel Homan's Canadian curling team has won the women's world championship again. They beat Switzerland's Silvana Tirinzoni 7-3 in a match held in Uijeongbu, South Korea. This victory makes Homan's team the first Canadian women's team to win back-to-back titles since 1994. Last year, in Sydney, Nova Scotia, Homan also defeated Tirinzoni in the championship match with a score of 7-5. Homan, along with teammates Tracy Fleury, Emma Miskew, and Sarah Wilkes, brought home their third world title together. Homan and Miskew previously won in 2017 in Beijing. For Fleury and Wilkes, this marks their second world championship title. Homan's team has qualified for the Olympic trials set for November in Halifax. They will compete for the chance to represent Canada at the Winter Olympics in Italy next year.
