Campinas firefighters respond to house fire; one injured

A residential fire in Jardim Satélite Íris, Campinas, prompted a response from the Fire Department on Sunday, with one person reportedly injured. Five fire trucks were dispatched to the scene to extinguish the blaze. The fire occurred in a residence, and initial reports indicate a victim was removed and receiving medical attention. The incident will be reported to the 6th Police Department of Campinas. The city has seen an average of one residential fire every two days in the first half of 2025. From January to June, Campinas recorded 85 residential fires. Statewide, there were 3,144 such incidents. Common causes include electrical equipment, candles, and unattended cooking.
