BWF leader calls for Baloch support for BYC
Dr. Shalee Baloch, a leader of the Baloch Women Forum, has called on the people of Balochistan to support the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC). She made this statement amid ongoing state repression in the region. Baloch strongly condemned the recent arrests of Baloch leaders and activists, describing the situation in Balochistan as brutal and unjust. In her remarks, Dr. Baloch highlighted the false charges against several Baloch figures, pointing out that the state continues to endanger peaceful movements for human rights. She criticized the government's oppressive tactics, such as illegal detentions and violent crowd control measures, which she says have not resolved the Baloch people's issues. Dr. Baloch noted that these aggressive actions are part of a long history of state repression that began after the annexation of Kalat State in 1948. Over the past three days, around 200 Baloch activists have been detained, including key leaders like Mahrang Baloch and Sammi Deen Baloch, under dubious accusations. She believes these arrests are an attempt to silence calls for Baloch rights and that the recent violence has intensified public anger against the state's actions. Dr. Baloch also raised concerns over the treatment of Baloch women and children, citing a raid at the home of Gulzadi Baloch and the detention of minors. Furthermore, she accused some powerful individuals of prolonging the conflict in Balochistan to protect their interests. Dr. Baloch expressed her horror that the state's violence continues even during Ramadan, showing a lack of concern for the people's well-being. In her conclusion, Dr. Baloch urged the Baloch community to unite with the BYC and its leaders for justice. She emphasized that solidarity is crucial for achieving peace and justice in Balochistan.
