Brianna Ghey's last messages revealed in new documentary

A new ITV documentary titled "Brianna: A Mother's Story" features the mother of Brianna Ghey, a 16-year-old transgender girl who was tragically killed in 2023. Her mother, Esther, shares the last messages she received from her daughter before her untimely death. Brianna was killed in a Warrington park by two 15-year-olds, Scarlett Jenkinson and Eddie Ratcliffe. Esther recounts that Brianna had taken the bus to meet Scarlett, believing she was going to spend time with a friend. Brianna’s texts showed moments of anxiety as she traveled alone for the first time. Tragically, Brianna was later fatally stabbed in what appeared to be a planned attack. She was found by dog walkers, and despite immediate medical assistance, she was pronounced dead shortly after. The two teens were arrested quickly and faced serious charges related to the murder. The investigation revealed disturbing details, including a handwritten plan to kill Brianna and a hunting knife that linked to the crime. Jenkinson and Ratcliffe were sentenced to long prison terms in 2024. The documentary offers a heartbreaking look at Brianna's story and her mother's efforts to advocate for change.
